Vinyl wrap

Car Wash: OST – Excellent soundtrack to one funky movie.

The Beatles: Essential Beatles – Australian/New Zealand only release from 1972, containing not one bum song. Of course.

Herbie Mann: Latin Mann – 1965 release from Herbie, has some interesting interpretations of hits like Ray Charles’ ‘What I’d Say’ and the more famous Herbie’s ‘Watermelon Man’.

Willie Nelson: Stardust – One of Willie’s most successful albums, 10 standards recorded in 10 days, sold loads, spent 2 years on the Billboard 200. Willie nailed it.

John Holt: Help Me Make it Through the Night – Top stuff from Mr Holt. Wearing his PJs on the cover according to Iris.

John Lennon: The John Lennon Collection – This was the first release after Lennon died, coming out in November 1982, all top tunes of course (I do skip over ‘Give Peace a Chance’ though). The cover and back photo were taken on the day he died.

Album Count 2016: 284
