Lady Gangster

Another B-grade gangster film, with a cast of unknowns, except for a younger Jackie Gleason.

This is a remake of a 1933 film called Ladies They Talk About which starred Barbara Stanwyck. The story was standard stuff, not thrilling at all, but it entertained. The acting was fine for a B-grade film.

This was made in 1942 and there were a couple of references made relating to the war, which of course was raging away in Europe and Asia at the time.

At only 62 minutes long it didn’t drag on, and had plenty of story crammed in.
