I’m trying to get up-to-date on my music list before the year is out, so here are a few more:

Riccardo Chailly – Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra: Shostakovich – The Film Album – Film music. No idea which films they come from though.

Duke Ellington: Jazz Masters – Jazz. Zap. Duke.

Flume: Skin – Flume is a popular Australian DJ type. This album is getting popular so thought I’d check it out. Quite disappointed as sounds dated to me, but maybe I’m just old and am not up with what the Millennials listen too. Even the track featuring Beck is pants.

Scaramanga Silk: Designer Scribble – This is some eletronical music, quite heavy going so have not had a decent listen.

Bob Dylan: The Best Of Bob Dylan – Lots of Nobel prize-winning Bob.

Eric Clapton: The Cream Of Clapton – Some of Clapton is sour, but early Clapton is certainly creamy.

Israel Kamakawiwo’ole: Somewhere Over The Rainbow – The Best Of Israel Kamakawiwo’ole – Famous for his Over the Rainbow cover this has more of the same sweet voice and nice Uke playing.

Ian Brown: Unfinished Monkey Business – Tops record from Mr Brown. Loving the new Stone Roses tunes, wonder if an album will follow soon?

One Night The Moon: OST – Not had a listen to this as yet, Paul Kelly does the soundtrack and stars in the film, which I’ve not seen either.

Suede: Head Music – I really like this record, it’s nice and noisy pop.

Van Morrison: The Best of Van Morrison – All the hits including Brown Eyed Girl which I still always think is The Rolling Stones whenever I hear it.

Album Count 2016: 219

Here’s new Stone Roses (not so new anymore actually):
