Bob James & Earl Klugh: One to One – This is described as a ‘smooth jazz, crossover jazz’ album. Released in 1979, I like the cover. Not much of a fan of smooth crossover jazz though.
Goldfinger OST – James Bond number three with one of the better known title songs, belted out by Shirley Bassey (and produced by George Martin) in 1964. John Barry composed the music, he is well worth checking out, ace TV/film composer.
Joan Baez: Volume 2 – All the way back in 1961 Joan recorded her second album of traditional folk tunes. Joan dated Steve Jobs in the early 80s!
Louie Prima: Hey Boy! Hey Girl! OST – No, the Chemical Brothers didn’t cover a Louis Prima song (they should though), this is a soundtrack from a 1959 film. Blimmin’ tops it is too, have given this a few spins.
