McCartney: Philip Norman

This is quite a recent biography on Macca (published this year in fact), I picked up for a fiver so thought I’d give it a go, being a Beatles-maniac and enjoy it I must say even though the author would keep on banging on about how John was always aggressive, George was devoid of humour and Ringo just went along with everything, but Paul was perfect. The author has written a few books about the Beatles, and John, who at the time said was by far the best Beatle, and Paul was a simpering egomaniac, so he has changed his tune here.

Those Beatles certainly led a crazy life, it’s amazing they all turned out relatively normal. This is an interesting read, just a pity the author was bit of a dick.

2016 read number: 6
