Punk in London

Towards the end of this I realised I may have seen this before, but it does not matter as it is a rather good look at the early punk scene.

It was made in 1977 so it was right there when it was happening, and by that time a lot of things had already happened.

Quite a few bands were interviewed including X-Ray Spex, The Adverts, The Lurkers, Chelsea, The Electric Chairs, and more. There was also some live footage as well as some bands practicing. I was hoping to see the Sex Pistols or the Damned but no luck. It was good to see a very young looking The Clash though who were great live.

There were interviews with Teddy Boys which was funny, they were a brutish lot that thought punk would soon die away, and they would be around forever. Ha!

Worth a watch for punk fans.
