Me and Ana got a babysitter and treated ourselves to a couple of burritos then the movies, Ana was quite pregnant at this time so will probably be our last movie-going experience for a while.

Ghostbusters was a great film back in the day (the sequel was so-so) and this is pretty entertaining. Pity about the internet hate towards it. Silly 14 year old boys.

Anyway, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and two other ladies make up the four Ghostbusters, plus scene stealing Chris Hemsworth as the receptionist, who is very funny. Even all of the original Ghostbusters get a scene or two each as well. It’s a bit of a pity the re-recorded theme song is complete crap (only hear during the end credits thankfully) and the re-hash of ghosts from the first two films is a bit naff too.

Good fun though.

I was actually surprised about this movie. Despite all the negative hype before its release, it was actually pretty good. However, it still didn’t beat out the original.
