This was another film on my YouTube “To watch” list. I actually started out by watching The Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy, a 1956 Mexican film, but it was so incredibly boring that I gave up.

Claudine though was much better. It stars Diahann Carroll and James Earl Jones, and a cast of great acting kids. This film rips into the topic of the welfare system of the day (1974), which seemed to be something you really did not want to be on, and getting married while on it just made it worse.

All in all it was entertaining and not too heavy-handed on the message it was trying to put across.

Date watched: July 24th
Score: 7/10
Film count 2016: 121
