Trick Baby

This is a pretty good 1972 Blaxploitation film about a couple of con artists, and their spiralling troubles with a corrupt cop and the mafia.

It starred Mel Stewart (a familiar face), and Kiel Martin (he was in Hill Street Blues, but I don’t remember him in that)…

I do remember Bruce Weitz though…

Bruce is not doing much these days.

Anyway, the story was entertaining and well-paced, the acting good, and there was a little bit of action and light humour every now and then.

One of the better blaxploitation films I’ve seen, although I wouldn’t really label this as blaxploitation.
