I took a break from spaghetti westerns this afternoon so James and I could watch this.

I did not know much about this when I chose it at the DVD rental place, I just saw that it was a Marvel film and despite not really liking the recent Avengers and X-Men and what have you, I decided to give it a go.

It was a surprise to see Paul Rudd as Antman, I would never have thought he would become a super hero dude, but I thought he fit the bill perfectly in this role. The Marvel films have become soul-less action fests with too much violence, convoluted stories, and taking themselves way too seriously, but maybe the comics do too, I would have no idea. This though had some good jokes here and there, was light-hearted, and toned down the violence. The story was nothing new or original though.

There may be hope for future Marvel films, but I am not sure about the Batman / Superman thing, that seems have lost the plot entirely.

Next up, Chuck Connors, he of the most perfect teeth in Hollywood…

Date watched: May 1st
Score: 8/10
Film count 2016: 74
