Crime of Passion

After watching Champion I decided I wanted to see another old-timey film, so I found this 1957 film with Barbara Stanwyck and Sterling Hayden.

The story was standard stuff, but Barbara Stanwyck was the real stand-out in this film, she was great and made the whole film what it was. Read up on her on Wikipedia, she had quite the life.

Raymond Burr was also in this, and was great too. I came to the conclusion that The Clooney is actually a Raymond Burr clone, as you can see here (the Clooney is on the right if you are confused).

Another actor that was impressive due to his cool as a cucumber performance was the impressively named Royal Dano, a guy that you will surely recognise. I must see more films of his.

So, this was an educating and somewhat entertaining film, with actors that make today’s lot look like amateurs, except the Clooney of course.

Date watched: February 29th
Score: 7.5/10
Film count 2016: 38

Here is the entire film.
