Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Continuing with my revisiting of films seen decades ago, I watched this last night. After watching it though I wondered if I had even seen it in the first place, I thought I had but most of it was unfamiliar. No matter.

Entertaining stuff with good performances from all, and of course it has the Ferrari 250GT California (they used several replicas of course, an actual car sold for over US$16,000,000 last year).

It was interesting to see Ferris’ bedroom wall, there were posters from bands like Cabaret Voltaire, Killing Joke, The Damned, Simple Minds, and more. Check out this link to see a replica of his room. The film started off with “Love Missile F1-11”.

There is a lot of stuff on the interwebs about this film, it is quite a big deal it seems. Here is a site with some interesting tidbits.

I’ll have to revisit The Breakfast Club again, pretty sure I have seen that.

Date watched: February 24th
Score: 8/10
Film count 2016: 35
