The Unknown Marx Brothers

This is a 1993 TV documentary narrated by Leslie Nielson, and is a history of the Marx Brothers basically from birth to their deaths.

It follows them in all stages of their careers, and has lots of “never seen before footage” as they so often claimed.

I didn’t really know much about them, and this documentary did a good job of telling their stories. I didn’t know for example that Chico was a gambler and was always losing money. Grouch’s work on “You Bet Your Life” was interesting, and very funny.

There will never be a Marx Brothers again, they were very unique guys.
