This is a documentary that interviews some of the members of Crass, who talk about their Crass days and what they are doing now.
I am not a huge fan of Crass, but I do listen to their music every now and then. So it was interesting to learn a bit of Crass history and see what they are up to these days.
Crass were of course believers in the anarchist schism, and true to their word some of them continue to be anarchist hippies living a life of perpetual lentil eating and wearing crusty clothing.
Penny Rembaud was the drummer and he lives in a large house that he bought in the early seventies, and is now highly sought after because of it’s location, corporations want to turn it into a hotel and stuff, so he is sticking it to them by refusing to sell. He looks quite poorly though, his face is covered in red spots that his anarchist doctor really should look at. There was one scene where he was in his birthday suit and working on a compost toilet comprising a toilet seat attached to a clear-red bucket! Didn’t need to see any of that.
Steve Ignorant was the vocalist and he seems to have resumed a normal life. He was interviewed in a pub, watching footy on TV and obviously enjoying the game.
This is not really worth watching if you are not into anarchist hippies, but it is only 64 minutes long.
