After watching the documentary about Crass I decided I wanted to see another music documentary and came across this one.
It follows Social Distotion and Youth Brigade as they travel across America and Canada on a tour, in an old school bus.
There are lots of interviews with the band members and people they meet on the way, including Minor Threat. Things start going wrong, and by the end they had given up not long after the bus broke down.
American punk bands in those days (early 1980’s) were obviously strongly influenced by the British punk scene, they had the look and attitude down pat.
It was made on the cheap which is obvious, the sound is pretty bad at times.
Social Distortion now are quite well off now I would say, they have sold over three million albums.
Not the best punk documentary out there by far, but I found it interesting enough.
