After watching the second Hobbit film on Saturday I thought I had better finish the whole thing off.
This turned out to be the best of the three films I think, mostly because it was mostly taken up with action scenes and lots of heroics.
It started with Smaug the dragon obliterating an entire village quite spectacularly. The rest of the film was a battle between all kinds of creatures and had lots of improbable scenes which were silly but fun. It was all cliche after cliche, but that is what audiences expect.
Peter Jackson should go back to his roots, his comedy horror films are some of the best.
