The Iceman

I chanced apon this on Hulu+, and not a bad watch, not bad at all.

It is based on a true story about a hitman (played by a chap called Michael Shannon) who started business in the 60’s and was caught in the early 80’s, quite a vicious piece of work too.

The actor that played the hitman was absolutely bonkers good, as were the rest of the cast which included Ray Liotta (a fave actor of mine), Winona Ryder, Chris Evans (Captain America), David Schwimmer, James Franco, Brad Dorff, and Robert Davi (familiar face but not name).

This gets mixed reviews on the interwebs, but I thought it was quite a very decent watch. The authentic look to the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s was very well done, and the story moved along at a good pace. It was Michael Shannon though that really made this, fabs acting.

I read about the actual hitman guy on Wikipedia and he was actually more vicious than the film made him out to be.

Recommended watching.
