Margaret Thatcher: The Iron Lady

This is a documentary about Maggie. I remember the Thatcher days, but I didn’t really know much about her, so I was interested in seeing this.

It told her story well, mostly about her life in politics, with only a little about her private life. She was a very determined and stubborn lady it seems, and she knew she had power and used it accordingly. She did seem to be totally dedicated to her job though, but didn’t seem to understand towards the end of her Prime Minsiter-ship that she was pushing things a bit too hard.

There were a few clips from Spitting Image about Maggie, and they seemed to be spot on about her… and very funny.

A good watch unless you were a poor Englander when she was in power.

I wouldn’t mind seeing a Ronnie Reagan documentary next, that would be quite funny I think.
